Super Mario: the movie!

I have read internet rumours that there will be a movie based on the popular Nintendo 'Mario' series.

I know there was one released quite a few years ago but this will be totally seperate from that.

There aren't really any solid evidence that this is even true but according to these rumours a brand new villian will be introduced, but with references being made about Bowser and hints that if there are sequels he will eventually appear as the baddie.
 
At least if it happened we would finally get a good video game tie-in.

Possibly a giant advertising campaign for the Revolution imo.
 
It's a done thing. It was released when Mario was at it's peak in the early 90's. A decent film from what I can remember, having said that I was only about 8 at the time so if I watched it now it might not seem as good.

I just hope that they don't do a similar thing to what they have done with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When I watched it, they were loveable, cute, funny crime fighters. Now they are all "new-age" and all about violence. Totally ruined it in my opinion.
 
Yeah a CGI i one would be a hell of a lot better than the mess that they called the original Mario movie! I would love a really Dark CGI sonic one, I think that would be awesome, but its never gonna happen, Sonic sold out ages ago, and now makes crappy jokes while running at a reasonably fast pace smiling all the time on Jetix!
