Super Hero shows...

I was thinking about this just now, looking to see if TMNT had been added too the cable companies on demand(new ordering schemes on dvd release date :)) yet...

Apart from Super friends and the Batman/Superman adventures, was TMNT the first real Super hero show too be tried? It came before B:TAS, S:TAS, Justice Leauge, etc...

Something tells me no, but I can't remember what else came before it..
 
There was also Plastic Man, Batman had two shows a decade apart with Filmation, not to mention Aquaman. On the Marvel side of things there were HB's Fantastic 4, Spider-Man's 1960's cartoon and the later Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends, a stand alone X-Men pilot (Pryde of the X-Men) and The Incredible Hulk. I'm sure there were a lot of others as well.
 
Isn't that kind of a silly question? It's like saying "Apart from all the cartoons that came before it, was Inspector Gadget the first cartoon?"
