the trailer was especially created but it has not even begun shooting yet

That's ridiculous making a trailer for a film that hasn't even began filming yet!

How representative of the film do they expect it to be when the movie hasn't even began filming!

What a ridiculous world we live in.

If they don't want premature judgment-don't make a premature trailer!
 
I think ChuckyBlackhart is one of those "i hate CG" people, so has disowned an entire movie because he noticed that the explosion was CG.. despite knowing barely anything about it.

I think this movie looks to be awesome! if its shot on 8mm then the colours and general feel will be awesome!! Definately looking forward to this!
 
Oh Lawd. Lots of films produce teaser trailers before they go into proper production. Often they're used to show investors to try and convince them to put some money into the film. This one, though, was to provide hype that JJ and Spielberg would be working on a project together. The first Cloverfield trailer, for example, was produced when the script hadnt even been finalised and was more of a test.
 
why are you so against CGI?

it really bugs me when people are so against it. (mainly because im in the profession).

There are a gazzilion movies that CGI is in a lot, yet people dont notice (im talking Rom-Coms, Period dramas..). Why? because its good cgi... the crap stuff, where the director is crap and everything has to be really rushed, is where it gets noticed!

Also our brains are so adjusted to it, that when we see unbelievable stuff we automatically point it out.

Theres no way in hell an explosion like that could be filmed in real life.. so either you have lame explosions filmed from really far away, or you have cool up close CGI explosion!

I didnt think there was anything wrong with that explosion. Oh and by the way, the majority of the entire thing was CGI, yet all you noticed was the explosion!
