what's the difference between # 52093-08 and # 52093-08A?

I just bought one of these a few months ago. I can't remember exactly but I think one is for the RK and the other is for your bike. Basically, one fits the longer tank console and one fits the shorter console. I might be way off too

The "A" on the end of the part number...

Seriously, I am not sure - I have the 52093-08 on my 2008 FLHTP...

basically, the "A" on the end means it's a newer revision part, and probably had some changes made (what changes, I don't know... could be very smaill)...

when in doubt, I would go with the latest and greatest revision part number, unless you are getting a really great deal on the older revision number.

I agree with you that, if possible, I'd rather get the latest revision which is -08A but I found a -08 in as new condition at an attractive price, that's why I'd like to know what the differences are. I don't think the mods between the 2 versions are dramatic though.
