Sunday the 17th.. Who is going for a Wii?

i see every retail store will be stocked on the 17th (tomorrow)..

How big of lines will there be agian? do you think if you show up at 8am you could get one.
 
from what i heard, it's going to be like another launch of the system
meaning...people will probably be camping out at the night before
 
I'm going, probably go at like 3am or so. I camped out for a 360 last year on launch night and it was alright. Guy in front of me had a tent though and let me use it too.
 
I have absolutely no desire to camp. I have never done it to get a system ( I was able to get an xbox, PS3 and a xbox360 without doing it within 2 weeks of their launches). If I have to wait more that an hour, I can wait another month when they will be abundant.
 
i got mine but i would suggest hitting up target 30 min before opening, if you dont get it there then head to toys r us since they open an hour later. worked for me 2 weeks ago

then circuit city opens up at 10
 
From what I hear, every EB and gamestop store (around here anyway) has at least 6...and Targets and Best buy should have around 20 each. Good luck to those that don't have one yet.
 
I camped and would do it again. Just have the right equipment and be prepared and you'll be fine. You have to decide for yourself whether the reward is worth it or not.
 
Drove past GameStop 15 minutes ago after bowling, they're only getting 6 and already have 8 people out front. I'll wake up around 8 and go in and hopefully they've gotten thier tickets and wandered off so I can get in the front of the line for a nunchuck.
 
i guess i got lucky on bf. I went to eb at 400 and they opened at 7 and got the last wii available. This only happened after I talked the lady in front of me into the 360.
This couple wanted to get two and they said they were together when the eb employee asked them and he only gave them one. I really lucked out and only had to camp out for like 4hrs.
 
bahhh... the wii launch is probalby worst than 360 or ps3(no one calls us to ask us do we have any ps3's in stock lol). Wii launches suck because instead of shy gaming nerds, we get crazy moms demanding us that we sell the wii's that we have in the back to her, which we have to hold because of nintendo's request.
 
Don't even tell me that. I tried to preorder a PS3 back then from Toys R Us but they said "Nope, all full, but we got alot of Wii preorders left". Stupid me didn't think I would need a preorder

Checked out Toys R Us yesterday cuz they claimed they were getting 20, sure enough the line was huge 3 hours before opening

Also yesterday, my friend lost himself $50 bucks. He was at Wal-Mart when they got 8 60gig PS3s in, but he waited till he came home to tell me. By the time I got there they just sold the last one. (I woulda gave him $50 bucks for a finders fee)


Mendes: Do you still know of any in Toronto still, my brother lives downtown so I'm hoping he can pick one up from a store (PS3 60 gigs or Wiis)
