Hmm, but still... Pretty much the whole of RHCP's Californication album reminRAB me of summer. and Soul To Squeeze too... It just is lazy summer sundays on the beach, its amazing.
 
but it sounRAB like ur more into hip-hop,r&b stuff so i don't think you'd really like RHCPs right? i would suggest anything by nelly he's laid back not too crazy not too soft, just the right beat.

You said John mayer like stuff. he is now collabarated whith two other great musicians and created the john mayer trio. so any of there stuff is pretty good. it's more along the lines of blues rather then summer pop, but i think it'll still work for ya.
