summer reading list for a non reader who is goin into english education next fall..?

so i was sittin here thinking.. and i realized that im goin into english edu next fall.. but i dont/have not read much. therefore my goal for the summer is to real as many books as i can this summer, primarily books that i will need to be familiar with in the future.

so the reason i was writing u this little message was because i was wondering if you had any books in mind that you would suggest i read this summer. =]
 
The classics of course!

Sense and sensibility, The Portrait of Doran Grey, Pride and Prejudice, The Odyssey. Etc.

Also you can go to stores like borders and they have summer reading suggestions for age groups. I would really check them out.

If they don't have one you can always ask the associates.
 
harry potter, lord of the rings, shakespeare, jane austen, To Kill a Mockingbird, the Bible, Chronicles of Narnia, Animal Farm,
not twilight :]
