I live in zone 5 around Milwaukee, WI, and I was wondering what I could plant now that would grow either this year in the fall or next spring. Really any flower, herb, vegetable, or fruit will do. Don't sunflowers grow pretty fast? I am planning on starting a small garden with my children, so I was hoping to start with someting simple.
