Summer Camp.......................?

I am going alone and its a summer camp I have never been too. I am 14 years old and I don't want to have a horrible time there. So how do I make myself more approachable and easy to talk too? I am really nervous because I am going alone! And nobody I know is there.
 
i went last summer and i didnt know anyone there but i like just started talking to people and i mad alot of friends and i want to go back this summer but they cancelled because not enough people signed up so ur preety lucky =]] by the way im 12
 
just have a good time. The kids that go to summer camp are almost always of the "nice" kind. Just relax, have fun and you'll easily make friends when you get there.
 
i am 13 and i know exactly what you are talking about. recently i went on a cruise and there was a club for people my age. at first i was really nervous, but i went, i am glad i did. at first i felt like i didnt fit in because i didnt know the people, but remember: they dont know anyone either! so just find people that look like your type of people and introduce yourself. i am so much a soical butterfly, so i just kind of hung around some people, amd they invited me to do stuff with them, before i knew it we were friends! good luck :) and have fun!!
 
I'm just like you, I get nervous about these types of things. What I usually like to do, is be nice to the other girls, make the occasional joke, introduce yourself, find something you have in common with someone else! Ask where they are from? How long are they staying? Are they excited, because you are! I promise, you will make a friend or two very soon. Everyone is a little nervous at first when you go to camp, but once the ice is broken, everyone feels more comfortable with each other, its a lot easier to make friends. Just make yourself comfortable with some of the other people, and you will feel better! Promise!
