I think i might want to go to an overnight summercamp this summer for the first time.
Im 14 (15 by the time summer comes), so what would a teenage summercamp for boys and girls be like? Is it easy to meet new people and have fun?
Share your experiences :]

i dnt have experience on that, but ive heard u meet new people. lmaooo one of my friends is dating someone he met at camp i think:D

omg, you've seriously missed out if you have not gone to summer camp, you make new friends, maybe even crushes, raiding the boys [with shaving cream] fun memories, swimming, activities, volleyball, cabins, dances, pictures, and it is very easy to meet new people and have fun, if your going alone you have to be very approachable, and nice.

1 experience's year, i meet a girl from visalia [fresno] and it was awesome you just have to talk to them, and by the 3rd day, you will feel like shes your sister, share everything with her or him, and its okay if you live far away from her or him. On the last day, everyone was really sad, and we all got each others screen names, emails, my space's face book, and phone numbers. unfortunately i havent visited her because she lives 4hours away from me, but when i get a chance to i still talk with her on aim, and hopefully we will reunite again at camp next year, i know it will be great, and we could see how much we have grown up and changed! *tear*

When I was (much) younger, I was in the Boy Scouts and we did the summer camp stuff every year.

I suppose it is not as easy to make a whole lot of friend in that kind of setting, because most of the activities are "troop based", where we were always working with friends and fellow Scouts that we already knew.

But, it was still a lot of fun! To be away from my/our parents for a week in the wilderness and just enjoy the outdoors and things like swimming, archery, canoing, rifle target shooting, hiking, camping, you name it!

I went to a summer camp when I was younger, and it was up at a lake. We did a whole lot of fun things. We did canoeing, kayaking, swimming, drama and arts and crafts, outtripping. We also did some wide games and other related type of activities. I will provide some good links that will post for some good camps.
