I tried to look it up but i dont understand Mccains website he doesnt summarize everything clearly..

can you please facilate the plans for health care made by the candidates?

thanks so jmuch in advance.

How about you do your own research and make your decision based on that, rather than having some one spoon feed it to you......by your asking this question I can already tell you will be voting for Obama.

Why do you feel you are entitled to have everyone else do the research for you?

Neither one has considered "single pay" and that is probably the real solution. All I've heard about McCain is that he will give you, I think, $5000 dollars toward your insurance and then tax you for it, or put that on your taxable income.

Obama is going to win so it doesn't matter what Mccains is. The only important thing you understand is that the next four years is going to be the worst years in American history!

Those that have jobs will be able to have healthcare under McCain.

Everyone gets healthcare under Obama.

My best friend's brother couldn't get healthcare because he had some pre-existing health conditions. Which also prevented him from having his family covered. He got laid off from his job. He died because he couldn't afford healthcare anymore. This wouldn't happen if Obama's plan was in play.

Both McCain and Obama want health care to be more affordable for every American. The methods they propose to make it more affordable are different.

McCain wants tax credits for families to help subsidize health care, in particular if they can't get employer coverage. There should be no nationalizing of the health system.

Obama believes that the government's health care system should be open for those who can't otherwise afford health care, and that costs of health insurance should go down, and that pre existing conditions should be covered when people change providers. For those who want to remain in their health care company, he wants their premiums to drop while keeping the same benefits if not better.

Easy -

McCain - Choice

Obama - Choice for some, but mandates for children

ok
Mccain= if you have insurance through your employer you will have to pay tax on your policy. The ammount of your policy will be added to your yearly income..

If you choose to move away from the employers insurance and purchase your own he will offer a 2500 credit towards healcare . which is nothing..my plan at work is 5000 a yr and thats with a discount

Problem is is you have any pre existing condition the insurance companies have the right to denie you.. when one dosent have health ins they go to the emergency room right? which cost us money right?

the entire program is flawed.

OBAMA= will open the opportunity for small business to offer health care . They will receive a tax credit if they provide it and have under 50 employees..

If you dont get ins through your job and can not afford outside insurance then you would be offered medical assistance and receive the same policy that congress men get..

I know it is all confusing but basically 2500 dollar credit wont get us anywere when we will be denied insurance.

Obama also says that he will make sure that insurence compnies can not denie you if you have a pre existing condition.

McCain plans to make it more accessible, while Obama is assbackwards on this issue

Obama keeps changing his plans, so they can't be summarized.
At one point, he said he simply wanted to force each American to buy insurance. (Proof that Obama really doesn't think before opening his mouth. He is easily swayed by a *decent* argument and latches onto it until someone else makes a decent argument against it!!! Obama certainly is a Agent of change! He changes his mind about important topics as often as the weather changes in Chicago!)

THE FACTS ABOUT THE MCCAIN HEALTH CARE PLAN
***** Barack Obama And Joe Biden Have Consistently Lied To Americans About John McCain's Plan. Their claims have failed every fact-check. John McCain is not going to raise taxes on middle class families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the only ones in this race that plan to raise taxes.
***** Transforming The Tax Code To Create Greater Equity: The McCain plan transforms the current tax code to provide all American families - including the self-employed and the uninsured - the same tax benefit, a $5,000 refundable tax credit ($2,500 for individuals) that was previously only available to those with employer coverage. Families can use this credit to purchase insurance of their choice, including keeping their current coverage.
***** Better Than "Members of Congress": Under the McCain Plan, your employer can provide you with health insurance as good as a "Member of Congress", and you would pay no more in taxes - regardless of your tax bracket. In fact, you would have some additional money left over from the McCain tax credit to put in a health savings account.
***** Where Is The Middle-Class "Tax Increase"? If you or your family is in the 28% bracket, with an income of $180,000, you could receive employer provided health insurance even better than a Member of Congress, with a cost of almost $18,000, with no increase in taxes. Even the liberal leaning Tax Policy Center, agrees that the McCain proposals will result in a "net tax benefit" of more than $1,200 for an average tax payer.
***** Helping Those Without Employer Coverage: If you are a middle-class American today without employer provided health care, the McCain plan would give you a tax credit of $2,500 as an individual, or $5,000 for a family, to help you buy your own health insurance coverage, including across state lines. American families - not government bureaucrats or insurance companies - will choose the coverage that best meets their needs. Today, the government does nothing to help you. Why does Barack Obama oppose this?
***** McCain Health Plan Puts Families In Charge: In another desperate attack, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have said that McCain health care tax credits to help families buy coverage "will go straight to the insurance company." Here is what they fail to mention - the credit goes to the insurance company that the American family chooses to get coverage from, anywhere in the nation. The power of choice lies with the family - not government bureaucrats or insurance companies
***** McCain Health Care Plan Gives American Families More Choices: John McCain believes that American families should be given more choices by allowing them to purchase policies across state lines. The Obama campaign used this as an opportunity to falsely accuse John McCain of deregulating health care markets akin to Wall Street. A recent study showed that simply allowing Americans to purchase across state lines would reduce the number of uninsured by almost 12 million.
***** McCain Health Care Plan Preserves Employer Coverage: The McCain health plan builds on the employer-based system. Employers will have the same incentive to provide health insurance as they do today since they will continue to deduct the cost of health insurance they provide to employees. Nothing will change. The McCain plan through comprehensive cost-containment policies addresses the single biggest threat to employer coverage - rising costs.
THE TRUTH ABOUT THE OBAMA HEALTH CARE PLAN
***** Barack Obama's Plan Continues The Push Toward Government-Run Healthcare: The Obama plan will create a brand new government-run health plan at the cost of $243 billion a year - a financial burden of more than $3,000 a year on American families.
***** Barack Obama's Plan Will Harm Employer Coverage: The Obama plan includes a $179 billion a year employer mandate. The mandate requires employers to either provide "meaningful" coverage or pay a tax towards the government plan. Faced with tough economic conditions and rising health costs this creates a clear incentive for employers to drop coverage and move families into the new government plan.

How I explain McCain's Health Care Plan: Even when I was supporting Hillary, I preferred McCain's health care plan. This is why:

McCain's health care plan (a tax credit up to $5,000 for health insurance premiums) will actually help lower health insurance costs for everyone.

It makes health insurance affordable to everyone immediately

Obama wants to tax the working people more (FACT) and then give it away in welfare payments. (This is what he is calling lower taxes) McCain want to give everyone a $5,000 credit so they can buy their own if they want to. It is their choice. That is the way it should be.

McCains:
Tax Credit of up to $5000. Does not increase over time(which means you will pay more out of pocket if your premiums increase on a yearly basis).
Deregulation of industry: If Nevada has no state regulation, your Florida insurance company can set up shop there and sell you insurance as if they were in Florida, but under the Nevada lack of regulation. This will save money for people who are healthy, and increase contract cancellations when you actually get sick. In short: Healthy people will have low, low premiums, until they need to use health services for anything serious. When they need them the most, they will be dropped and forced to join a high premium plan. Out of pocket.

It's got to be the stupidest idea I've ever seen, btw. It's like taking all the bad aspects of the wall street fiasco and applying them to your health.

One bullet
A friend of mine left Russia to move here 16 years ago to get away from Obama's style of healthcare.
He said free healthcare is not good when only the government, military and KGB can get it.

Obama believes health care is a universal right.

* Every person will get to keep the coverage from their current employer.

* Companies will be required to at least offer health care to their employees. There will be assistance for small companies, but they will still likely incur some costs in the end. There would be penalties for not doing this.

* Those who cannot afford health care would be able to buy into the same federal plan that gov't employees get. Hopefully, by having lots of people do that, you could bring the costs down.

AND

* McCain prefers to see more individual control of health care.

* He wants to lower premiums by allowing health care providers a bit more freedom in who they accept and how they structure their insurance programs.

* He wants to encourage competition among health care companies, thinking that the competition will create better programs for Americans. He wants to add to that by giving a $5,000 tax credit to families to put towards their health care.

* He would help subsudize some costs with cuts to Medicare and by taxing health care benefits. He believes the savings from his plan would offset this.

McCain

- More of the same.
- Some extra tax cuts for health care.
- More flexibility in where you can buy a policy from (to create competition and lower prices (in theory)).

Obama

- More of the same, although his changes should reduce the average person's premiums.
- Offer a similar private health care system than politicians like him already get. Making health care more accessible and affordable to the 47 million Americans who don't have coverage.
- Prevent health insurance companies ripping people off with con tricks like refusing to pay for 'pre-existing conditions.'

Define health care.
Is a hip replacement covered? It's not a life threatening condition so would it be covered?
What about dental? What would be covered there?
Vision? Who decides what is covered. Contacts? Corrective surgery.
What exactly is covered under each one's health care program?
