Israel has cleaned up its act in the last decade. They were at peace when the PLO dropped out, but Hezbollah was constantly on the offensive.

2 - Israel goes give us back the two soliders, hezbollah says no, Israel invades lebanon and breaks their infrastructure

If you were living in a war-torn region and truly wanted peace, would you elect terrorists to office simply because they provide better schools? The number one issue on every palestinian voters mind was obviously their relations with Israel and they VOLUNTARILY chose to go to the polls and elect terrorists who absolutely promose them no chance of peace. These elections were fair, as were those in Iran where we saw the same phenomena with Muslims choosing to elect the most extreme, anti-western terrorists when actually given a choice.

In the late 40's the jews were given a nation in israel, since hitler tried to put them in ovens. Palestinians/arabs hate these people because they are descendants of the people who killed jesus. The want the land the jews are on, and to eliminate them from earth. Arafat established the PLO to kill off the jews. Then both sides started using terrorism, but it never made either government cave in. Arafat ended the PLO after intense terrorism and unorthadox fighting among the two groups, both sides were very ugly. Israel gave a bunch of land up to Arabs, hezbollah got alot of political power and decided that just giving up land is not enough, and kept using terrorism. Then we are at today, israel is fighting back harder than ever.
