sulfa allergy versus ferrous sulfate

If allergic to sulfa will you have the same allergic reaction to ferrous sulfate, Ex, my daughter is anaphalatic allergic to sulfa drugs and was prescribed ferrous sulfate for anemia in her early pregnancy, at 11 weeks became ill and dehydrated severe and was very sick this to me is related.
 
Actually, it sounRAB more like an overdose of the ferrous sulfate. Did her doctor know she was pregnant? There are contraindications for pregnant and nursing women.
