Suitable tank mates for two African fish?

Okay, I am planning a set-up that will have an African Butterflyfish and a Leopard Ctenopoma aka Leopard Leaf Fish aka Leopard Bushfish.
This is a planned set-up for a 29G, and I have two questions:
What are suitable tankmates?
and
Can the tank be planted?
 
the only really suitable tank mates will be other african fish put into the tank at the same time and that prefferably came from the same tank.
