a person has a delusional psych disorder and files a misdemeanor charge against a now former friend.
The list of accusations are proven false (about 20 specific issues)...it never happened at all...
claims of 15 hang up calls a day from a specific number...with phone records that show it isn't true..
claims of 50 emails/hour...with no emails available for evidence
etc....
it costs the person $4000 in legal charges
(the delusional person is a smooth talker and a skilled liar---its too risky to proceed pro se-----plus the accused party is disabled and does not have the ability to represent themselves.....court denied a public defender)
would it be possible to sue the accuser to recover the costs of the defense---or would he not be liable because he truly believed that these things happened....
