Hi All:
I'm in need of a new phone and PDA or all-in-one. Please offer any advice about devices you think would work or not work.
What I think I need:
definitely need Windows Mobile 5 for PC (not Smartphone) or Palm OS 3.5 or greater with the "Non-Volatile File System" (NVFS)
calendar
ample contact/address book space
ability to send/receive occasional emails (1 -5/day) - I sent 34 last month
QWERTY keyboard
ability to open word/excel/power point/pdf documents - some of these will need to be edited and sent back
Bluetooth
speakerphone
ample storage/external memory card
What I don't think I need:
camera (take or leave it)
MP3 player
FM tuner
conference calling
I'm currently using T-Mobile and happy with their service in SoCal and everywhere else I've traveled.
I'm not against purchasing a phone that needs to be unlocked if that's what will suit my needs.
I've played around with Cingular's 8525. Honestly, a bit scary at first but once I was able to figure things out I became green with envy.
Besides the 8525, I was also thinking about Palm Treo 750 or 680.
Now that I've had time to read up on the reviews, pros and cons, I'm thoroughly "lost." I am beginning to think the 8525 and Treo 750 are too much phone for my needs but I also don't want a phone I'll grow out of in the next year.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
