Suggest me films that are a tad weird or interesting

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Vanilla Sky
Death Becomes Her
A Clockwork Orange
Across the Universe
Moulin Rouge
Stardust
True Romance

Some aren't that weird or different but still quite interesting and not what I'd call mainstream. I think all are valid choices if you want something a little more original than the usual Hollywood standard.

I loved it - a high-brow film starring Adam Sandler! How weird is that?

If you want a really tricky one that requires a lot of work on the part of the viewer, try Primer. It's about a couple of guys who accidentally invent a time machine. They can only use it to go back in time to the point where it's switched on, and they use them (they build more than one) to go back in time to play the stock markets while their present selves lie low in a safe house. But after a few trips they become paranoid as to which version of each other they're talking to, and it all gets totally out of hand. They made the film for about $5,000 and most of that was spent on the actual film stock and processing, but it's acquired a cult status and there are whole websites devoted to unravelling the story.

You got there before me! As soon as I saw the worRAB 'weird' and 'interesting' I thought of Cube. Brilliant film!

Would also highly recommend Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but then any film which uses Mr Blue Sky in its trailer is probably worth a watch.

The Prestige is also excellent. 'Interesting' is putting it mildly. Watch carefully!

Edited to add: Nearly forgot Napoleon! He's Dynamite!

The Japanese can produce some very 'huh, wtf?' movies. 'Tetsuo' is a good example. Seventy straight minutes of chaos and bewilderment. 'Dead or Alive: Hanzaisha' is another, with an extraordinary finale that beggars belief. Then again, most of Takashi Miike's films are somewhat strange, to some degree or other.

Missed Grey Gardens on telly last weekend with Drew Barrymore , who it seems plays her part well as eccentric cousin of Jackie Onassis. her and her mother lived in a rundown mansion, full of all kinRAB of wild animals roaming around. in squalor , did anyone see it.
