Suggest me films that are a tad weird or interesting

Red Road is an excellent film.

Another one that I would recommend is Freeze Frame -
"Sean Veil is an ultra paranoid murder suspect who takes to filming himself round the clock to provide an alibi, just in case he's ever accused of another crime." Of course, it all goes wrong - a clever story.

Cypher is also a great film if you want a bit of a twisty puzzle spy espionage mind-games type thing - very stylish and a superb story.

eXistenZ (David Cronenberg - need i say more)
Man Bites Dog (Film crew follow a serial killer and get caught up in his antics)
Scrapbook (Serial killer captures victims and makes them write in his scrapbook before killing them)
The Idiots (Group of intelligent people pretend to be mentally retarded as a reaction to the society they are living in)
Naked Blood (Man creates a drug that turns pain to pleasure. 3 Girls are injected with it and it turns into a mutilating gore-fest)

That should keep you going for a while.

Mainstream ones I have enjoyed...

Being John Malkovich, Brazil, Delicatessen, Donnie Darko, A Clockwork Orange..all a bit "different".

Those are at least worth watching, not just weird for the sake of it..there must be thousanRAB of little known movies out there that are really weird..but are they worth watching ?

Another good Cronenberg one is Videodrome -
Cronenberg was tired of his critics saying that violent films corrupt people, so he made a film based on that being literally true.

A quirky one I saw recently was Bubba Ho-tep -

My name isn't taken from the actual film Ultraviolet :p

I was looking forwarRAB to that for a long time after hearing it was getting made and the mix and mythology of it all but it turned out to be one big bore of a film, didn't think much of it at all.

Ooo yes Ghost World was mentioned, definitely one to see. If you enjoy Donnie Darko, though far inferior and a disappointment to some, you might enjoy his next film after Donnie Darko called Southland Tales, very odd film including cars having sex from what I can remember, fabulous... there is a stand out scene in a supermarket with Justin Timberlakes character.

City of Lost Children - Jean Pierre Jeunet is a fantastic film director.

Dark City

Franklyn - Haven't seen this but suppose to be quite strange.

Open Your Eyes, and remake Vanilla Sky - remake has the more impressive opening.

Zed and Two Noughts - Not seen but I was recommended this.
