be put in a care home...? ... or did she close them all when she was in power?!?
scullion: Thanks for your posting; it's just a shame that she wasn't as respectful to people with opposite opinions to herself whilst she was in power.

a firm i used to work for built a nursing home in Grimethorpe after she closed the pit there, would be a good choice of home where she would get the TLC she needs

It's nobody's business but hers and her family's. Carole Thatcher thinks highly of her mother and I am sure she will do what is best for her.

You make a valid point about publicly owned care homes having been sold off and then shut down when they were unable to afford compliance with the barrage of legislation that has been heaped on them. In that respect, I think the Thatcher years followed by the Big Brother state will be seen as one of the darker period in British history.

Whatever we may think of Margaret Thatcher's past, I honestly believe she has the same rights as any other person to be treated respectfully and to be allowed to live her life in as much dignity as possible in a place of her choosing. The expression 'put in a care home' sends the wrong message. Age will come to us all so my inclination is to display the sort of respect I would like to be shown when I am in her position. Shame there won't be any care homes for me.

Yes. She should be put in a 'care' home run by one of those unscrupulous money grabbing vultures who she cozied up to when she was PM. Then she can experience the 'benefits' of being looked after by the low paid illegal immigrants who she encouraged her rich pals to employ who will let her piss her pants and do nothing for her. Wouldn't that be justice.
It just sickens me to hear people actually talking about giving the bitch a state funeral when she goes tits up. Personally, I will take the day off and get drunk in celebration when she finally enters the gates of hell.
