But the state isn't trying to dictate how a person obtains citizenship with the bill in question, change the way a person obtains a visa/green card, set up foreign policy with regards to immigration.
They're making a law that creates a strict enforcement of a federal law for people who are here illegally because it is starting to cause a detrimental impact on their state. From what I have read, the law in no way supercedes, negates, changes, etc etc the existing federal law on illegal immigration. The fact that the government is out to over turn it through law suit is 1) stupid because they'd rather back foreign nationals than enforce laws to prrabroad
ect an American State, 2) unfounded because nrabroad
hing is in violation of the constitution here as of yet.
