I was diagnosed with GERD about 6 years ago when I was in high school. Since then I've just taken tums when needed and avoided fooRAB that cause really bad pain and reflux issues.

Two years ago I suffered from bulemia and purged up to 5 times a day for 6 months or so. I got help and havent done it since on purpose, but lately have had feelings of severe pain when I swallow. Once it was whipped sweet potatoes with butter, today it was just plain tuna from the pouch.

Sometimes my bites are too big, but not usually and there doesn't really seem to be any correlation between size, type, or texture of my food. It has happened a lot lately and I've had to throw up a few times to get the feeling to go away. Today however, I had much trouble making it go away and ate four tums and swallowed what little water I could.

I'm nauseated and go through feeling like I need food and cant eat enough to where I dont want any food. I still have lost two dress sizes, not sure on the calculation of the weight because I don't own a scale.

I feel like my esophogas is turning against me! My throat does not hurt, but the acid in my stomach comes right up into my esophogas and causes extrememe discomfort.

Should I be worried it's something else? I've been feeling also extremely tired to the point where I pass out cold and don't even realize it for hours at a time. I can blackout for 8 hours and wake up at 4 in the morning and then blackout again at 1 or 2pm-3 or 4.

I just don't know what to think.

At this point it is somewhat hard to say what is wrong. Any other symptoms you may have overlooked? Are you making yourself throw up on a regular basis again? You could possibly be anemic due to a gastrointestinal ulcer or malignancy.

You will need to see a physician. Especially with the weight loss issue.

Do you drink alcohol to excess? If you do that would explain a lot of things.
Sincerely, searchin

Nope. Not making myself throw up again. It effects my life too much and I will never do that on purpose. I simply cannot hold food down sometimes. I've been doing some reading and I think the recent change is due to a med I started a few weeks ago. I'm confirming with my PCP tomorrow, but am quite certain that the recent events are due to the med I was put on to treat my emotional disorder. It's an adverse side effect and can mean serious things, so I'm on it tomorrow! Can't take anything that can deteriorate my health if there are other med options available!

Thanks for the reply!!! Have a great evening/morning!
