:confused:Hello fellow backers, It's been a while since I posted, I check in everyone in a while. I had my L5-S1 ALIF on 3-27-07 almost a year ago. I have been doing so good, back to work really no pain unless I do too much. But this past week, I noticed a slight pain starting in my fusion area and each day it has progressed. I woke up Saturday morning hardly able to move without excruciating pain, nothing going down the legs, only in the fused area. I even started taking darvacet for pain. I haven't taken pain pills in months. Today, it's even worse. I am really thinking something is wrong. Honestly, I don't know what could have happened, I didn't do anything, I thought I slept wrong one night. What does it feel like when a screw is loose or can the fusion crack? I am really scared, I haven't felt this way since surgery. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bailey, yeah I am just coming back to the board myself, its been a while. But, my goodness I hope everything is ok with your back. I know it felt good to be pain free for that amount of time. Does your doc know about this? Well, I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Kkmom2
My Dr. doesn't know yet, I will contact them this week if this doesn't settle down. Yes it was good to be pain free after so many years. I hope it wasn't short lived and too good to be true. Good to hear from you.

Hi Bailey,
Yes, I agree, you really need to be checked out by your doctor. I hope it's nothing serious. Please let us know what you find out.

I'm glad you've had such a successful time up to now. I sure hope it continues for you, that this is just a temporary flare up.

Blessings,
Emily
