I have had chronic fatigue syndrome for 3 years and recently had cortisol levels tested, they came back high, 972 nmol/L (35 ug/dL), around 10:00 a.m. This was a blood test. [FYI Normal reference ranges at this lab are 65 - 540 nmol/L.]
The thing is, I also had a cold that morning and had taken some Sudafed.
All I'm wondering is whether the medication could have caused a falsely high result?
Thanks!
