I have a friend whom said he was going to get his old g/f back who broke up with him back really bad for what she did. He ended up sending a letter to her saying that he was going to get her back big time and that she would regret breaking up with him. He hinted to me that it he wouldnt even be near her but rather through communication. After looking through his aim profile, you would then realize that he was going to commit sucide. He told me that he was going to get her back at 7pm today, which is right after he gets off work. I talked to his older brother(freshman in college about it) and he told me that he's done similar stuff before. He also said that he's going to drop by his work and check him out. What should I do? BTW hes a senior in high school.
 
you are right to be concerned. even though he might be just seeking attention, whenever someone hints that suicide is a chosen option take them seriously. Be there for him. Contact his parents or people around him who might be able to give him help (i.e. his older brother was a good choice). And although breakups are horrible to go through, he's still young. More ladies in college. i hope he realizes that a lot of people care about him (i.e. you).

Try to convince him that she isn't worth it, which she shouldn't be. Other than that, not my area of expertise, I think they're supposed to have people you call about that sort of thing. Check with his older brother, most colleges have suicide counselors (or is it suicide prevention counselors?) or something similar.
 
there are hotlines where he could call. and some colleges do provide free psychological counseling. if anything they're there to guide you. professional help is a good idea since its not his first time.
 
The thing is, is that hes doing this after work, and I cant contact him. All i know is that hes going to do it tonight. Im also not aware of where he's going to do this.
 
someone gave me bad reppoints to me because of this post. normally I would not care. BUT this happend to me when I was about to kill myself. It worked out great, no special attention and shit.

my few friends left have dont that to me at times when i wanted to just die, and heh, it does make you forget about it for a while...so in a way it does work...

but to me, it doesn't always work, and my friends can't always fix anything like this cuz it comes back later on....
 
i dont tell my freinds.. or anyone around me wat im going thru... i came close to suicide, but i just put the knife down and coudnt do it, i dont think your freind will go thru with it pimpyobitch, its a difficult thing to do... knowing ur saying good bye to everyone...
 
Works at pizza hut just dont know which one. See I know him pretty well, but not that great. I know him from track and cross country, beyond that we really dont hang out, so im not really all that framilar with his life beyond running except this time. I dont know if he did or not, hopfully he didnt, I told his brother in all, and his brother said he was going to go over to his work and check up on him.
