Such bad luck!

soo i have a big date on thursday and of course today i got one of the worst break-outs EVER! and the most ironic part is that my skin has been really good lately. in fact when this guy proposed Thursday, my first thought was "my skin should be nearly perfect by then." and instead i'm stuck with several under the skin pimples which of course I couldn't help but pick at, and now it looks like I've been punched in the face. The entire area around my mouth is covered with pimples and scabs- like 5 big things! I know there's probably not much that can be done but leaving them alone at this point, but I needed to vent...
 
tea tree oil might help. it would probably make the scabs like peel off and irritation go down. but you have to apply it only on the blemishes because straight tea tree oil is very strong.
 
thanks for the response and advice. i used my usual topical meRAB last night and now this morning the swelling seems to have gone down, but my skin is even more red because now it's also really really dry. this all just sucks SO MUCH. i just need to look great for tomorrow night....i guess tonight i'll slather on some mosturizer and hope for the best
 
jojoba oil is a miracle worker for dry skin. my face was super dry from retin a and i put it on and it was immediately better.
 
You could try dabbing Manuka Honey (UMF 15+) on the marks, In my experience there is nothing better for reducing redness, swelling & promoting healing without overdrying. You dab it on at night and sometimes the improvement by morning is incredible. I admit its not cheap but one pot will last you ages (google it). Acne can be a real confidence killer but it is only a small part of what a person is about, everyone wants to be loved and considered attractive of course but my guess is your date wants to go out with you the person ("flaws" and all), so try not to stress (which can make acne worse), go out and have fun - good luck
 
thank you so much for your help and advice! makeup is basically a miracle- i managed to make myself look pretty decent for the date and i had a great time! thanks for the support- it really made me feel better :)
