I have a Kenwood KDC MP242 In Dash Deck, Visonik v218xt amp and a Rockford Fosgate P3 12" 2ohm subwoofer. Whats happening is my sterio sometimes goes into protect mode. I hear pulsing coming from the sub and sometimes the music will stop playing but the bass will continue then eventually the HU would go into protect mode. Now my RCA's I have a white one and red one. I plug the white one in only and I get more bass than having just the red or both in together. I know both should be in but why would plugging both in cause a noticable decrease in bass? I replaced the RCA's, didn't fix it, tried a different deck, didn't fix it. Any clues as to what might be causing this?
