Subs or Dubs?!?

Haha. I just flipped on Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood dubbed and I was thinking how much better the original voices were than the American. It just isn't the same. I need Ed's real voice!

The only dubs I liked where Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Cowboy Bebop. I thought those two were done really well. Other animes sound horrible, especially younger female voices. They sound forced instead of natural.

I find myself watching dubs more often than not. Stopped tormenting anime and get it mainly on DVD or hulu now. I don't find most of the dubs to be at all objectionable. Just me though. Sometimes stuff does get lost in translation.

When I was even younger, I used to watched everything in dubs. After awhile, I started getting annoyed by some of the voices, so I tried subs.
Now I watch everything with subs!

I think the only animes I've watch and kind of liked as dubs are Ouran HSHC, Naruto, and that's it, I believe.

For me it depends. Like, Obviously Subs are better. However, I have ADD (not diagnosed, but I have a hard time focusing on something) So its hard for me to focus on subtitles. What i like it putting on a good dub on the computer, and then playing a game on the ps3, and then i focus on both :P

I almost never watch anything dubbed anymore. When I first got into anime, I tolerated dubs, but now the English voice acting is too tedious for me, and slightly annoying. I can't stand the peppy dubbed voices.

For me, it depends on the actors that dub, but sincerly, I'd rather watch dubbed anime than subbed but since these american actors have the worst anime voices in the world.. I'll go with subs.
But I gotta say, the best show that I liked the dubbed voices was Ouran High School Host Club.

subs for me, I've watched alot of anime in dub and found a few I like....Ranma 1/2, FMA, Evangelion but alot of them shouldn't ever be voiced in english, such as
GTO, Samurai Deeper Kyo and Saiyuki to name a good few

I prefur DUB because it's my language so i don't have to read.. haha.. also Japanese voices tend to always be really high and that's just distracting..

I have an opinion on both subs and dubs.
Subs can sometimes give it a more original FEEL, because it is the original thing. There are a lot of cases where I like the Japanese voice actors/actresses a lot better than the English ones. However, slow readers can have a really hard time with subbed anime, and sometimes it can be hard to enjoy the animation and action and watch subbed at the same time.
Meanwhile dubbed can be easier to watch when your tired or lazy, and sometimes messages or emotional moments can seem more effective because the characters speak your own language. But, there are times when the script is DRAMATICALLY changed and you can tell. And that can ruin major parts of a show.

So for me, I like both. It just depends what I have available and what I'm in the mood for.

Subs because hearing Americans saying Japanese names and even worse, changing the names, annoy the hell out of me. I also learn a bit of Japanese from subs but some say it's not recommended to learn through anime if you want to become really fluent.

I hate Dubs. The American voices are not even close to the Japanese oneS. Mostly on DBZ. I always try to watch Subs, but sometimes there isn't,and I hate when that happens.

That I agree it + sounds more cheesy when anime is in English. you can't really become fluent in Japanese by watching anime but u can Learn the common words they use and abit of grammar. If u wanna become fluent in Japanese u would have to interact with a native.
