Subs or Dubs?!?

Dubbed. I'm American and I speak English. And more Anime is being based in America anyway.
Take Baccano for example: Set in 1930's New York. The Dub has all the Accents and slang you expect to find. The Japanese can't do accents like we can.

Subs for the most part, but when I watched FMA and Samurai Champloo for the first time it was dubbed, I couldint watch the new series of FMA subbed since ive gotten to know the characters speaking english, would seem odd.

I dont like reading captions because I miss action.

I do watch the stuff I own once or twice with subs because sometimes the story is different. (Evangelion, when Misato comes to Shinji in his lovely suite. In the Japanese version, she offers herself to him).

it depends. on thing that bugs me so much with some of the jap. voices is they sound like b***hes, not all of them though, like if you seen black lagoon in sub. revy and dutch sound just so wrong, rock sounds ok though. in some of the dubs though especially the school life ones, it just don't really mix in great with it taking place in with japan and all. i think that it is complete BS one people think that American voice actors are bad or that they ruin the anime because of their voices. American voice actors are just as good as jap. voice actors or not so good.

For me subs only serve as a distraction since I don't know Japanese and I'm trying to both watch and read. The only advantage I find with subs is that sub dvds usualy cost half as much.

Oh no you didnt...

Thank you,
another one is Cowboy Bebop
I prefer dubs 100% I ****ing hate subtitles, I only watch live action with subtitles but I cannot watch anime with subtitles, the voice acting is too overdramatic and high pitched.

I honestly feel that most people watch subs only to cater to japanese culture.

IMO Subs are extremly cringe worthy
I mean not all of them, but most of the time I just can't take it
too much panting and gasping going on as far as the girls are concerned.
The guys gasp, pant, and their voices go high to low in a short range, you can tell when someone is over doing it when they pant to much and take too many breathes.

Honestly I think I have come to the conclusion that I prefer whatever I first encounter for that particular series/movie. For the most part I like dubbed stuff, but for stuff like Bleach after watch almost 250 episodes subbed it sounds pretty awful to hear the dubbed version. But something like Evangelion, where I am used to the english voices, I would never watch a subbed version. For the most part dubbing is good, so that is what I prefer most of the time. Bleach is really the only example of something I only want to watch in Japanese. lol, and conversely, I really liked the show Genshiken, so when I learned there was a 2nd season made I downloaded the subbed version and could not get past the 1st episode because the show just was not right without the english voice cast.

I mostly watch my anime with subs but I did vote for the depends option in the poll because sometimes I am not in the mood to read the subs and I just wanna relax and watch it. Without needing to always be watching the screen to make sure I know what the last person said. But that doesn't happen alot but it does happen but mostly I do subs but it still depends.
