subs cut off when i increase the volume?

i have 2 10" street edge subs and an alpine mrp-m350 amp

when i cut it up loud, the speakers begin to cut off and on. but when i have it at a lower volume they are fine...

i used the same kind of wire for the ground that i used for connecting the speakers to the amp.( the parallel, split wires).. do you think that could be the problem?

The "Gain" is too high..your sub is "clipping"

could be a bad ground on the amp could be a loose wire on a sub
