I made a bad choice in submitting some false info to my school's financial aide department.
My school has a policy of paying for auto and medical insurance if you have any further need in aid, which I do legally, and I just purchased a car so I really needed the money..
I submitted the insurance for my old car (before I got my new one) and for my new car. The only thing is the insurance for my old car lapsed after I only made 2 payments on it, but I created fake bank statements making it look as though I continued paying until the end of the coverage premium.
My school has approved the increase for my new car's insurance, but not for my other car. I haven't received anything yet, but I am suspecting they will be able to tell the other information is false which is why I didn't get an approval for the other premium.
If they find I submitted false documents, what is likely to happen to me?
