I drive a 2003 Kia Spectra. After hitting a manhole that was exposed on a dug up road, I had to get a new engine cradle and control arm. Now, the car drives fine, but i can hear creaking noises whenever I come to a complete stop or drive at low speeds. i was just wondering, is this something that I am going to have to learn to live with, or, is this something I should go back to they body shop over? any adive would be appreciated.

Also, if this has been repaired, hwo does it affect the resale value of my car?

I would suggest that you take it back to the body shop and have them double check for problems.

It may be nothing, or it may be something as serious as a motor mount that was overtightened. You don't know until they look at it. Expect to go for a test ride with them to point out the noise that you hear.

And unfortunately, yes this accident will reduce the value of your car at resale time.
