Alright, I've had the same 12" kicker L5 for the past three years. Time for an upgrade right? Louder is better, but sound quality is more important. My L5's sound seems to be "dirty" during some songs. Is this because its so old, bad settings, or just a mid-level setup? How much better is two subs vs one? I remember reading something a long time ago about an extra sub only adding four or five db. Is this true? Does anyone know anything about the solo X line by kicker? How would a solo x 12" compare to my L5 in terms of loudness and quality? Is it louder or is it a hell of a lot louder? If I put some dynamat in my 240 with a solo X, is the trunk going to sound like it's about to fall off? I am a big fan of sound quality and can't stand those cars that drive by and sound like a rattle trap.
