sub mounting information ?

ok i have 1 kicker L7 and i want to make a custom box to mount it in the corner of my trunk but i want to know if it will reduce how it will sound in the car

if my discription didnt make sence i want to mount it like this

it should be the same as long as the bas waves can move there should be no difference plus it should prevent less rattle in trunk
 
realistically the only way to know what will be louder in any vehicle is trial and error,...there is a good chance facing that direction won't be quite as loud.
