Sub Box Internal Dimensions..?

I just bought a Polk MM1204 car subwoofer. The sub calls for .88 cu.ft of space. My older box has internal volume of 1.287 cu.ft. Will the sound be degraded if I place this sub in this box or should I buy a smaller box? Can the old box be "filled" to make it a lesser volume so it will work?

i dont think it will be a noticeable difference at all. to get .88 cuft. ur looking at a box that is 13"x13"x10" thats a very small box, if u did wanna build it, it probably wouldnt cost more than 25 bucks at lowes.
