Stupid Republican idea of the day

Nitpick -- Sen. Lindsey "It's a Lie" Graham is from South Carolina. TTBOMK, what's happening is that one house is accepting the amendments the other house tagged onto the bill, the 'reconciliation' phase of passing a law. I think it's the Senate reviewing the House amendments, but I could be wrong on that.

In any case, let's note that Graham is of the "any publicity is good publicity" school of thought, and that what he's probably talking out of, most people use for sitting and excretion.

It is my understanding that we are not yet at the reconciliation part. The Senate has yet to vote on their version of the bill, so there aren't any amendments to recomjigerate. Unless there is only one version of this bill that is being used by both the House and the Senate.

Maybe you should check Biggirl's. ;)

Maybe that's one of many words that have different connotations and usages in different countries that use nominally the same language?

And, of course, it's always possible that Graham is banking on what a complete and total pussy Reid is.

I know I still think he'll find a way to be bullied out of it.

I thought the Republican claim to respectability was supposed to be that they were the party of Lincoln. They're hitting pretty hard on the God-damned Ronnie Rea-shit bottle in that thing.

Clearly, golf commentators have gone lamentably downhill ever since the dirty hippies took over golf.

Another Steel moment: The guy doesn't know who his health care provider is. It must be nice.

How far out of touch can this guy be?

GOP'ers all over the country are reaching for their wallets tonight so they don't get stumped on this question next.. LOL

But with Democrats running things will they assume the wallet is empty, or will they look and be shocked to discover that there is still money in it?

I think what Mr. Steele means is a means for people without health insurance to observe health care being provided. Incentivizing.

I'd say that bringing handmade signs, birther letters, and yelling "Liar!" at a Presidential address to Congress counts as a pretty stupid idea of the day.

I don't believe that was the intent. I believe the actual intent was something like, "Patriotic Americans want to kill Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid for the manner in whch they've protrayed the war and the military to the American people." Plus, "After bin Laden, they are America's two biggest enemies."

Equally disgusting, in a different way.

I think it's time we start calling things for what they are. Anyone who killed the heads of our two legislative bodies would be a traitor, not a patriot, and we need to point out what is the logical conclusion of the statement. He is claiming that our military would behave in a traitorous fashion.

Huge gamble on the part of the Republicans. I hope it blows up in their faces.

It won't. There will be mild anger until American Idol makes another headline, then this will be forgotten. Just like how the Republican penchant for directly interfering in the medical decisions of private citizens has been forgotten in their drive to "keep health care out of government control".
