Stupid M50 Question?

Sorry to sound ridiculous, but I'm quite the newb. I've negotiated what I think is a fair price on a new '06 M50 ($5999.00 + tax, tags, title). I told the girl at the dealership that I will be there this Saturday to pick up the bike and that I want a black one. She told me that she will have a black one waiting for me ready to go.

Here's the question: After looking at the Suzuki website, I can't find a black one? They have blue and silver. Am I missing something?

Hey Weez, You sure it's an 06 and not an 07?

Oh, and welcome! You should check into the m50 hideaway...it's right over here-------->

I called her and asked and she told me the '07's wouldn't be out until Sep or Oct? I have the VIN and the 10th digit is a "6" which tells me it must be an '06. From all the reading I've done, the only "major" difference between 06 and 07 is the addition of a fuel guage.

I'm pretty excited about this. I'm 37 and have been riding off-road all my life but I've never owned a street bike. I have a job 5 miles from the house so I figured this would be a good time to get into street riding.

I'll look for the m50 hideaway. Thanks for the tip!

I have a 06 blue M50, but when I bought mine at the dealer, they had 4 black ones there in the showroom...So Id say yes they have black....

I bought a blue 2006 M50 about 3 weeks ago and paid $6009.23 out the door. I must pay uncle sam sales tax. The dealer also had black M50's and I couldn't decide so my daughter chose the blue one. My cousin bought a black C50 the same day.

I bought my 05 when there weren't hardley any around yet and couldn't get one cheaper than $6799 (msrp), so your doing great by my book. I negotiated for a free suzuki windshield ($380 value), but with all the bull#%*t fees I still owe more for my bike after over a year than your paying for your new one. Congrats.

Congrats!!. I am new as well to owning my own bike since I have always ridden my friends and I received my 07 m50 Limited with the tribal paint pattern last week. I have already put 300 miles on it. :-) I love the bike and it was a great purchase. Unfortunately since it was the limited model the dealership did not budge on the price but threw in good deals and some freebies for me to compensate. The bike so far has been worth every penny.

I bought my '05 M50 for $9000 (New Zealand Dollar) with 1000 miles on the clock, a brand new one costs $13,000. I read in this thread that the '07 model has a fuel gauge, can you buy fuel gauges and put them on the '05 bike, I know it's exactly the same bike so I don't see why they wouldn't work
