I am a juvenile charged with possession with marijuana in a drug free zone. So i got a court appointed lawyer and he was free. On the day of the court he shows up 2 hours late and when he gets there he starts working on the 4 cases he has.He tells me hes working on getting probation for me. I say thats fine.Later he gives me paperwork and tells me the deal is probation until im 18 and quad county which is drug counseling.I say why thats too much Ive been coming out clean on drug tests with probation already. He says probation recommended it because ive been coming out positive on drug tests and said not to question it because i can get bootcamp.I say no lets talk to the probation and he says youll talk to them after you sign and speak with the judge. Ok so i sign. After we had all gave our statements aloud and confessed everything the judge tells my mom so you know your son has come out positive for drugs twice and my probation officer speaks up and says no hes been coming out clean. I try 2 talk 2 my lawyer real quick but he tells me 2 pay attention 2 d judge. Other people with the same charge got less sentencing and some of them had prior convictions, or multiple cases which got the same punishment as me. This is my first case thats made it to court.After i got sentenced i talked to my probation officer and she said that they didnt even talk to my lawyer. It was the DA who made that deal. I basically got screwed into signing. Can i sue or not.?
