Considering they were the people that made it, yea i consider that thinking for themselves. You can't follow anybody's idea if it hadn't even been thought up yet. remember everybody else were persecuting them for being DIFFERENT, for NOT following everyone else and agreeing with the church of ENGLAND. It may be the largest religion now (christianity, not the branch of christianity they were but i guess you're not educated enough to know the difference between seperatists and baptists and all the other different variations...) but it certainly wasn't then. Yes, they left because they thought for themselves and would have been jailed or killed for following their own religion in england.

First off, there's no reason to get ugly.

I wasn't trying to insult anything. I was making light-hearted jokes to make someone smile, be it you or someone else. It made me smile, and that's reason enough for me.

I happen to have several friends that live in Pennsylvania just outside of York. They tell me a lot of stories about the Amish and fundamentalists all over the place up there. I was referring to the existence of Amish in PA, not the sole residence of the community.

Finally, if you're going to continue to take playful banter so personally, you're on the wrong forum.

Actually the largest is in Ohio (population 55,000) PA has around 47,000. But who's counting?
 
the largest actually is in new jersey, my girlfriend lives in ky and when she was over we went to an amish tourist place (her dad made us go) and they said that they used to be the largest community of amish until 2 years ago a place in new jersey claimed 2,000 more than them. You might be refurring the the total amount of amish people but an amish community, new jersey has the highest.

the only reason that those damn kids are making those threats is because they are too dumb to do anything productive in school so they make those threats to get school canceled for the day

these people are idiots they have no need to be in school anyway because they are too stupid to even make a "F" on anything. a new grading system needs to be used for their "needs". the scale should go form "F" to "ZZ"

the bastards need to be taught a lesson. the people who make those threats should be shot on the spot and their ashes should be launched into the deepest corners of the galaxy
 
Bomb threats are just silly. None of the dumbasses in my school could make anything near a firecracker. I have the feeling it's the same for you're school. They just look at the Anarchist's Cookbook and say, "Now who has the upper hand! Bawaahahahahahaha!" Real bombs require a level of intelligence and the proper materials.
