Hi:
Recently, I've been feeling 'stuffy feeling' in my entire head as if I caught cold or flu, even though I'm NOT. I'm healthy and working every day.

This, 'Stuffy feeling' in my entire head is only after getting-up in the morning and goes away after one hour or so. However, it/suffy feeling never occurs after taking afternoon nap and the such. ;)

Just wondering what health issue I've been sufferring from.

Any idea on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks for the response.

I have NEVER sufferred from Allergy in my entire life. Then, in my wild guess, it might be 'inside the ears' issue? If this is the case, should I need to make an appt. with a specialist, although I want to avoid it.:(

Any imputs on this would be truly appreciated.

Do you sleep with the heat on? Sometimes that dries me out and wake up really congested. I would recommend sleeping with a humidifier or vaporizer.

Unfortunately this can mean different things, so figuring it out may be tricky!! Some people DO have a dust mite allergy which causes this. It's possible to develop allergies you didn't have in the past (happened with me with many things...), but it can be other things too. This is definitely a possibility if you have an older mattress. An older mattress will have more dust in it, and sleeping will cause you to feel this way after you wake up. A shorter nap may not be long enough for you to be breathing in the dust.

If not this, yes, there's a chance it can be an inner ear issue. Do you feel pretty dizzy? I get dizzy really easily so sometimes I wonder if this can be possible with myself. I find that I get this way after naps though too... I just overall have a difficult time waking up for the most part.

I know some people who have had sleep tests done to figure out why they may feel odd or tired and realize that they don't get enough deep sleep.

I also agree that a heater can cause this problem. I tend to get very cold at night, but I hate to use a very warm heater because it will make me stuffy and bother my throat too.
