How long does it normally take people to study for there biology classes. I dont know but it takes me a about 1-2hrs on a chapter. Now I dont know if thats efficient or not, but is there a good way to speed it up?
yeah you can speed it up. What you need to do is try different methods of studying, find out which one you retain better. I can study for my chemsitry and biology by reading four hours, but i can do problems for 30 minutes and retain the same amount. It all depends on how your mind works. Hearing it, reading it, doing it, seeing it.
Here is one major thing, find the best way, then teach it to someone. you have no idea how much this helps!!
Biology requires a lot of studying, but what I do is focus on the big picture and then I memorize the terms that go along with each topic. If you understand a biological process, chances are, you'll be able to memorize the terms that descirbe it's parts and do better on exams.
i agree with Jay...also making a study guide helps..because once you go through the main points and organize them onto notecards or something, you can study when watching TV ir relaxing...its a lot less stressful, and it doesnt feel like your studying, but after repedetly seeing the facts, youll be surprised a thow well you remember them...I mean this works for me...and even if I do spend two hours studying, it doesnt feel as long because I am not just staring at a book
