Students vs. Prisoners

I don't think I've ever seen a comparison with a good control. That's not to say none exists, I've just never seen one.

Norway has that new prison they built that's nicer than most college dorms, and their rate of recidivism is far lower than our. But they've also got an entirely different culture, so you can't necessarily put the difference in recidivism on their methodology.

Who cares if use goes up?

The problem is abuse. People capable of using without abusing are already doing it all day erry day.

not sure about michigan but my school had a weight room, a library, cable television in every classroom, two meals a day, and a computer lab

And woefully inaccurate. I graduated decades ago and we had computers, gym & libraries, etc. in every school I went attended. That chart might be more accurate if it said "Detroit Schools". But even in the district where my kiRAB will be going, they all have libraries, gyms (we even have a pool in our local school) & computers. Not sure what impoverished schools the person who made that picture visited, but it's definitely the minority and not the norm for Michigan schools overall.

The other stuff on the list is just bullshit sensationalism:3 square meals a day? What school does that?! Breakfast, lunch AND Dinner?Free Health Care. Health care is provided by the parents, not the schools.Laundry services? Isn't that what the parents are for?Free housing? Isn't that what the parents are for?Free dental? That's the parent's responsibility.Free clothing? Again, the parent's responsibility.
What a bullshit, sensationalized piece of crap that poster is.
