stuck in fts mode

not sure what happend i turned my phone off (motorola razr v3a) and when i pwred back on it showed fts at the top of the screen and it seems to be a programers menu or something. i can still receive calls but thats about it and i can scroll thru this fts menu and change a few things but nothing i change seems to do anything.

i have used p2k tools with it but they never seemed to work prop. always got some sort of error when using any of those programs.

can this be fixed or do i just need to get a new phone
 
If my memory serves me its Field Test Service mode,
their is a simple #command to get rid of it just dont remeber it off the top of my head try #0setup, * and look in their to see if you can disable it in their.
 
thats the prob. i can only use the left and right soft keys to scroll to next and prev, i can use the down key to select an option then use the right key to change if there is a change offered. there is no where to type and nurabers or letters.
 
go to the motorola forum. Its like menu + middle button on direction pad, or menu + right soft key i forget.

its field test menu and used a lot by engineers to locate towers and get RSSI .
 
Check out the motorola forum. If you can figure it out you can always flash the monster pack to it and that will get rid of it and everything else on it .
 
ok thx guys. i can now switch modes when ever i wish.
now i just need to figure out what all i can do in the fts, if i can do anything at all.
 
ok fts mode useless to me, but now i can't use rsd when it is reading the phone info the phone will reset causing rsd to lock up for a min. untill the phone pwrs back up then its a never ending cycle.
 
i did a master reset and now the menu doest load but i still cant use any seem editors the phone still resets and locks up the program the only thing that works is mpt.
i think ill leave it at that. befor i brick it.
 
Left Soft and CLR at the same time gets you in and out of the Test menu when it's turned on. ##DEBUG should turn it on and off but you might need to input your MSL. #073887* should get you into the programing menu where you will find the Test Mode menu to turn it on and off there as well but this will also need your MSL to get into the programing menu.
 
thx for the debug i was able to get back in the fts mode and change a few things marked to yes when they should have been marked no. i was also getting the same text over and over and over and the phone kept resetting on its own. now its working like new.
