Strong Bad E-Mail 181 - Web Comics

Whoa. I never thought I'd see H*R rip on Penny Arcade; now I feel completed.

And fanciest easter egg in a long time: Click on "comic" at the end.

Well how do you post those anyway? I mean do you need to print up the page to be able to do that because my printer at the moment's busted so I really can't print.

More on topic, great email (and for once this year, Homestar didn't need to butt into it. I mean I like Homestar and all but Strongbad Emails don't need Homestar in them every outing and glad to see they had one of those for 2007). I liked the webcomics joke, "photo lense!", the Stinkoman comic (which I think is a parody on the Bob and George and it's sprite comic ilk), badly done saturday morning video game cartoons and the ending where Homestar says everything web related stinks. Guess he dosen't call his show a web show or something then.

So every [strike]web[/strike] comic out there is either a video game culture fest, a copyright infringing sprite yarn or a Tolkien knock-off, both of which require you to be "in the know" about nerd culture to get any of the jokes?

I think I agree.

Man, this reminds me of my two-year stint at webcomiking. And, well, I doubt I'll go back to that. It got nasty.

Anyway, as for the email, I loved it. The Penny Arcade rip was awesome.

Rethinking webcomicking.... realizing limitations... okay, as soon as I get a wacom Tablet, I'll think of something.

For those that don't know what the easter egg is, basically you can do this... It's a Sample, not just a posting of my own work.

Man, that's some imagination that The Cheat has.

That email was awesome! I laughed at the whole "Lens Flare" thing along with the jab against VG and sprite-related comics.
