I have both an SLR (from the 80's) and a digital SLR. I'm going to be buying some lighting, probably the Alien Bee b800 or 1600.
What are the options for film cameras, for strobe lighting?
Is there anyway I can use a lighting system for both digital and non-digital? Because if there is, I don't want to limit myself, as I love film, too. And I don't really want continuous light.
What would I need to know, to know if lighting is compatible with an analog camera? Of course, my old Nikon has a hot shoe, but there would be no digital signal to travel along the cable to the light?
