Stripperella

Back around in 2003 right around when Ren and Stimpy were back on tv with the adult party cartoon. There was one cartoon that was made, called stripperella. Now for granted at the time I didnt know much about this, until a few months ago I came across it on DVD. Man, I really dislike it when good cartoons end so quickly. So has anyone on here heard or seen the show?

Yeah, I rember seening this show. And, the only reason why I kept on watching it, well...I was 13 and girls doing things thats-Ok, I bet you know what I'm saying.

But looking back on it, it wasn't really a good show. It did made me laugh at times, but not a whole lot.

Oh man, i was like 13 when this show was airing, needless to say, i absolutely loved it (lol), OMG i remember trying to watch this without my mom noticing (i thought shed probably freak out or something), thankfully i was never caught and im sure she never even knew this show existed.

Anyway, i remember absolutely nothing about the show itself, that was a long time ago and i guess it wasn't good enough to make a strong impression (and i guess it wasnt bad enough to make a strong impression either), i remember most other cartoons i watched at that age and before it, so in conclusion Stripperella probably wasn't very good nor incredibly horrible (so i dont remember much of it) and i probably only watched cause i was a pervert (and still am).

I remember this show, I saw one or two episodes. One thing that I think was funny was when her tech guys gave her a penny destroyer to use just in case of anything, so later the villain (who if I remember was really cheap and shared a gun between him and his henchmen, and was stealing cubic zirconia) puts her in a deathtrap and floods it with pennies. She convienetly has the device but funnily enough it only destroys one penny at a time and took about a minute to do so. I think it was a funny subversion of how characters usually receive a device that would only be useful in a handful of situations that they couldn't predict.

I watched some episodes on Spike TV's OnDemand content. I enjoyed them, but I wasn't sure whether or not it was ok for me to enjoy since Striperella was created by Stan Lee. And I can't stand Marvel characters. But I was informed by the wonderful rabroad population that Striperella is NOT considered to be a Marvel character. So I ended up purchasing the dvd set. I really liked the first half of the episodes. But I didn't like the later episodes as much after they changed the designs.

The two things I remember about this show were that it wasn't funny, and that it seemed pointless to spend money getting Pamela Anderson to do the voice, when obviously she's famous for her looks rather than acting talent or a distinctive voice.

When it was on the air, I thought it was a stupid idea and that it wasn't something I'd waste my time on. I already wasn't watching a lot of tv back then but this sure wasn't going to be the show I'd bother watching. I figured it was kind of embarrassing that Stan's name was connected to it but I'm pretty sure he's done sillier things in his long, illustrious life.

A few months ago, I caught a late-night marathon on Spike and I'm no judge of animation but I thought it seemed like a dcent looking show. Better than I would have thought it would be anyways. It didn't really do anything for me though. I didn't find it funny, titillating, clever or whatever it is that they were going for. If it was really funny I think it could have worked but I just didn't think that any of the comedy worked which is a shame. I wonder what would have happened if Spike had a animated show that worked.

This show was such kitsch! Wasn't the tagline something like "Stripper by day, crime fighter by night"? I thought it was funny, but it didn't have staying power.
