Me and this girl in my class talking on IM:

Moose4: ya so whatcha doing tomorrow
ED 0FFF: nothing
Moose4: cool im going to a play
Moose4: w/ kyle
Moose4: lol
ED 0FFF: with just kyle?
Moose4: no its one of those baker plays and my ferineds r in it but like kyles also going so like ill see him there
Moose4: lol
ED 0FFF: oh

(screenames shortened for privacy)

I don't know why that person would exaggerate about that, but she does that kind of shit all the fucking time. If her friends are going, then she purposely left them out and just put in Kyle. I think its just pure insecurity because she doesn't like me, we're just friends, so theres no motive for trying to make me jealous. But hey, who knows?

Plus, she can't even spell "friends".

This person exaggerates, gossips, lies, and is just plain stupid and I'm tired of talking to her. She really pisses me off sometimes. This is just an example. I didn't get extremely mad over this, but I did lose respect for her. She's always getting into my personal life. I'm totally just gonna shut her out from now on.

A lot of women will attempt to make their platonic friends jelous. Most are just not aware of what they are doing. It's reactionary. Then again, a lot of women just don't think that way. She may be so excited to see this guy, because she likes him that much, that she feels the need to share this with you.

The trick is to find out which it is. If she's trying to make you jealous, and you have no interest in her that way, that's a sign of low intelligence. If she's bubbling over with excitement and likes to confide in you, her friend, then you should be a friend and simply be there for her to talk to. You make your own choices based upon which of the two it is. It is good to know, with friends and lovers, which of the two relate.

Then again, rereading this post.. I'm not sure If I'm full of shit or not. Maybe.. lol

I knew a guy that just lied about everything. For example, He told me to come over his house, because you of my friends was there. I wouldn't have gone if I had known he was lying. And So, I was just stuck in his house for awhile. I asked him if I was the first girl to come to his house and he started naming off my friends(I asked them, and they said they hadn't), so I felt a little better. and then after a bit of talking, he was just all over me and I left.

The reason he always lied about things was to impress people, give off the impression he's "cool". He lied for no reason all sometimes. That might be your person's case.

Guess your next step is based on whether or not you want to continue the friendship with the girl. Way I figure it, if she's funny and entertaining, and you don't really care to begin a relationship, enjoy the fun part, and shine all the lies. As long as they don't affect you, what difference does it make? An occasional "that's BS" will let her know that you see through the deception, but are willing to continue listening.

I have a friend who is so full of bullshit that you can smell him coming from a block away, but he's fun to be around, so I just pat him on the head every once in a while, and let him ramble.

I know a dude in my grade that is exactly like that. He just lies, and lies, and lies to impress people so he looks cool. When the truth is revealed he always looks like such a dumbass and to tell you the truth I am very happy when the truth comes out because he is a real jerk somethimes too.
