Streetdance 3D

Anyone seen it yet?

I quite enjoyed it and thought it was well done and not to unbelievable.
I'm probably being a bit generous but I'll give it 8/10

I'm no good at writing reviews, so I wont!

I wasn't going to watch this today and actually got a ticket for Prince of Persia but noticed Streetdance was starting at the same time, so popped back to the car and got my 3D glasses from a previous 3D film and slipped into Streetdance so I didn't have to pay the extra for 3D

Only the trailer and it didn't appeal at all. When it comes on Sky I may watch it in 2D if there's nothing on. I'll have to Sky+ it though so I can x30 all the street dance stuff though. lol

I've had a thought,

Wouldn't it be nice if people actually watched more then a 2 minute trailer before slagging off a film.

I for one would respect someones opinion on a film if they had seen the whole film rather then a trailer.

Off course I'd understand if you didn't want to watch the film because it doesn't appeal to you, but you can't really slag a film off based on your personal tastes.

Just a thought like I say though.

You may as well not watch it as you'll have gotten through it in half an hour by not watching the street dance!

Watched it this evening, it was 'okay' and felt it was a rip off of step up to the streets. The main female was awful! The dancing is wicked though and made the film bearable to watch. I thought it was sweet watching all the kiRAB trying to street dance in the foyer afterwarRAB!

Dancing films - Popular
3D - Popular

Just add em together. It doesn't have to be good but people will go watch it. I bet there's some clich

According to a poster in my local Cineworld it is getting rereleased in 2D in either July or August (can't remember which one) which surprised me.

And that is a bad thing because...... :p

When i watch films or TV on DVD or Sky I often speed through bits I'm not interested in such as extended chases whether on foot or car and also extended fighting especially martial arts. And pretty much all bonking scenes. I don't need to see bonking it slows the film down.

As/IF I don't need commentary I also watch football and some sports on x2 as well. I can see when the ball is being passed. i don't need to know who did it. I cope without all the info you get in commentaries, most of it banal when seeing football live and cope so I can easily cope watching on TV.

i ended up seeing the film yesterday as I was asked to take a friend's kid to see it as i was going to see a film there later so it turned into a double bill yesterday.

As soon as the trailers ended I was thinking can we have some more please or maybe an advert telling me about ice creams are for sale in the foyer. Anything will do, but no luck. :( So the film started and I can't believe I'm saying this I actually enjoyed it despite the streetdancing. lol

The story was simplistic and has been done over and over again with various variations. Karate Kid, Sister Act to name just two. There were the stereotypes you exepcet in the film. The posh one that looks down on them. The black girl with an attitude and so forth.
I thought the main lead was ok. It certainly won't be winning her any awarRAB but I've seen a hell of a lot worse from other actors including many big names.
I thought she came across as very likeable which is useful when it's the main lead role.

I think they could have reduced the amount of streetdance slightly. The film needed a ballet sequence to reinforce and explain how big the difference is between the two. It would have made the ballet trainees look more than rich kiRAB getting their lessons because their parents were paying for it. Other than the male lead, I think all the ballet trainees were underserved by the script, as were quite a few of the streetdance crew.

I was also surprised that George Sampson didn't get more to do. Maybe he's a dreadful actor. :D

It's an OK, average film and I enjoyed what I saw but wasn't blown away. I would have expected to give it 2-3/10 but marked it 5/10 and may be able to get talked into going to 6/10 if pushed but no higher.

So my rating is 5/10

I seen it tonight. My sister forced me to go with her. It was a pretty pants film. There was absolutely no need for it to be in 3D at all. 3D is becoming overused. The adverts (Shrek, Toy Story etc) looked better than the film because they're animated. 3D does this justice.

The dancing was alright, but nothing you can't see all over the place (just watch Britain's Got Talent, for example).

The story line was clich

Pretty much. I looked on the odeon website and they are showing it in 2D in only two places. Chatham and West Thurrock. Why two places in Kent get it and the rest of the country don't I have no idea. As I mentioned previously my local Cineworld had a poster for it and it said 2D from July/August.

Thurrock's actually in Essex, sorry for being so pedantic. :o

Chatham is actually my cinema of choice, but I think my son wants to see it in 3D so one of the others for me, I guess I have plenty of choice though. At least I'm one of the lucky ones that can choose 2 or 3D.
