Street Glide shocks: Stock 12" vs Ultra 13"

With my deteriorating bad back I need all the smoothness I can get out of my Street Glide. We all know the new frame (09 & 10) shocks are a bit harsh, so I bought a set of Ultra take off shocks from my dealer and I must say the Ultra 13

My feelings exactly, I went to the longer shocks as well on my 08 FLHX.

I never noticed a harsh ride on the '08 I had, maybe I was just tickled to get off the Fat Boy. lol

I came off a kick only rigid, you'd think I wouldn't have bitched about it, but those damn shocks were almost bucking me off !

You definately had to watch Rail Road Tracks with the stock shocks. lol
A couple of times I thought I was going right over the handle bars before the switch.

Now you come to the party, wish I would have gotten this offer 500 dollars ago(1 pair Ohlins) , I love my new shocks but I would've tried the yours first!

I did the same thing and am so glad I did. Ride is better & it seems like I have better clearance in the turns as well..
