Ok I've been having this pain since 8PM England time last night, the pain is a slow aching pain in the lower part of my stomach and when I try and pass wind or go to the toilet I get these painful strain contractions in the bottom part of my stomach. My parents suggested at first that it could have been food poisoning as I felt sick and I was in agony. But I'm lead to believe that it's not which is a relief, I haven't been passing wind to often so I'm not sure whether it's a huge build up of gas in my stomach or something else. My Mother has an Iritive Bowel Disorder, but I'm told it can't be caught and is not hereditary. It's not like the type of stomach ache when you need a toilet, my stomach feels swollen and stiff. I didn't get much sleep last night due to the pain I was getting and it seemed that my heart rate kept increasing, I'm not sure whether this is related to it or whether it's me being worried. Another suggestion I thought of was indigestion but that occurs in the upper part nearer the chest and only lasts for a couple of hours. But this has lasted for near enough 12 and doesn't seem to be getting any better, also when I stand up it hurts more. I can't go to the toilet but I can just about manage to pass wind. I few more details that I can give you is that I'm 16 and I have been recently taking beta blockers, Propanol 10mg for about 2-3 months every morning and every night. As I had an issue with sweating problems but they never made any difference, it was about a week and a half ago I had stopped taking them. Please can someone help me, this is really annoying me and worrying me now.
Forgot to mention the abdomen is tender to the touch.
In the morning I usually have 3 slices of brown bread toast, the stuff covered in seeds. On top of the toast I have Marmite, Peanut Butter and Honey. At lunch I have Sandwiches with the same sort of bread with low fat spread with usually ham and mustard. Dinner last night I had Beans on toast with cheese grated on the top, with the same low fat spread and same brown bread with seeds. Sometimes I also have porridge in the mornings with honey in and most Saturdays I have egg on toast, that's 2 eggs on wholemeal brown bread with the same low fat spread.
The pain is located in the lower part of my stomach, I can't perform many bowel movements. I had to bend over the toilet this morning so I could urinate. And I haven't had to urinate much, I went last night when I went for a number 2, I could easily go for a number 2 but the pain seemed to get much worse after going. The pain was so bad I went to sleep at 8 last night usually I go to bed on weekends at 11 or 12. And so far since last night I've had to urinate 3 times, once in the evening, in the middle of the night and this morning when I woke up. So far I've had about 3-4 hours of sleep, the pain is moderate at the moment and it comes and goes. It has now lasted for the total time of 12 hours.
