Strange pains.Need help.

I've been having strange pains in my back and arm. I developed a huge knot in my back and it caused severe pain in my upper back and shot through my right arm to my elbow. I went to the doctor and they diagnosed it as a sprain but i think they were wrong its still agonizing. Also my mother passed away about 5 months ago and I've been suffering with the lose could these strange pains be a part of depression? Thank you for your help.
 
A sprain can take several weeks to heal. Did the give you meds to help and exercises to help with the healing afterwards? Your nerves radiate from your back out to your arms so it makes sense that it follows that pathway. I have had many years of back trouble and surgeries.

I am sorry you lost your Mom. I lost both my parents last year and I know how awful it is. It can influence how you heal, but I don't think it is part of depression, although I do understand if you feel you are depressed..and that will certainly slow down the healing process for your sprain. Take it slow and don't rush things. If it continues to bother you, go back and ask for therapy to help you get through this-both physical for your arm and emotional for the grief..
